North-eastern part of the intersection between A4 motorway and the regional road 89 ''Treviso mare'' in Meolo (Ve), Italy

WORK DESCRIPTION

The work consists in the construction of:

  • a trumpet-shaped road junction with one-way 6.50 m lanes and a two-way 14 m lane which enters the overpass;
  • the motorway overpass with three spans with 3 full cross-section beams;
  • the toll station with 9 exit lanes, 4 entrance lanes and 2 for special loads. The ellipsoidal section of the platform roof is topped by a double metal arched beam completely open between the two connecting structures;
  • the toll station is hammer-shaped. The building comprises a connecting underground section, the ground floor is subdivided into an office area and a technical area, with the north wing providing access to the underground parking;
  • a roundabout 50 m in diameter with connections to regional road no. 89 ''Treviso Mare'', the railway station square, the park-and-ride and the Meolo industrial zone
  • a park-and-ride with capacity for 302 cars, 14 motorbikes and 2 buses;
  • execution of FDP (Full Displacement Pile) driven piles, constructed without removal of soil, using the rotary insertion method of the ''lost bit'' type, with reinforcement cage comprising longitudinal bars and spirals with pitch no greater
    than 20 cm., and cast with concrete of minimum strength Rck 30 Mpa and slump s5;
  • execution of vertical geodrains to ensure hydraulic continuity.
